New card today

A Ferrari with four doors. Yes, really.

For about 75 years Ferrari built two-door cars. The Purosangue, revealed in September 2022, is its first with four doors and four seats. Purosangue means thoroughbred. Ferrari would like you to know it is not calling this an SUV, and we're not going to argue with Ferrari in their own showroom.

The back doors open backwards

Ferrari calls them "welcome doors." The rear doors are rear-hinged, electric, and open to 79 degrees, so getting into the back seat feels like arriving somewhere instead of folding yourself into a suitcase. The front doors open 63 degrees, which Ferrari says is five degrees wider than its other models. Someone measured that. Someone was proud.

The engine is the point

Under the long hood is a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, no turbos, making 725 cv (about 715 hp). Ferrari quotes 0–62 mph in 3.3 seconds and a top speed over 310 km/h (193 mph). A four-seat car with a high-revving V12 is the kind of decision only Ferrari would make, and we're glad they did.

Other things Ferrari is proud of

The one at Lamborghini Miami

Lamborghini Miami lists this 2024 Purosangue at $536,697 as of 21 October 2026. Darin's album doesn't include this model, so the photo on the card is a licensed Wikimedia Commons shot of the same model, not this exact car. The credit is right under the photo.

Why it turns heads

People know what a Ferrari looks like. They don't expect one to open its back door for a passenger. That moment in a valet line is worth the price of admission. Well, not $536,697 worth. But close.

The honest part
