The one that pays the bills
Lamborghini calls the Urus "the most successful model in Lamborghini history." That's the SUV, not the poster cars. Turns out a lot of people want a Lamborghini that can take four friends and their luggage.
The Urus S, announced on 29 September 2022, took over from the original Urus as the more comfortable half of a two-model lineup, next to the track-focused Urus Performante.
The numbers
- A twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 making 666 CV (about 657 hp), the same output as the Performante.
- 850 Nm of torque from 2,300 rpm.
- 0–62 mph in 3.5 seconds, 0–124 mph in 12.5 seconds.
- Top speed 305 km/h (about 190 mph).
- Braking from 62 mph to zero in 33.7 meters.
The part that matters in Chicago
The Urus S has permanent all-wheel drive with active rear torque vectoring, plus four-wheel steering and adaptive air suspension. Its drive modes include STRADA, SPORT, CORSA and EGO for the road, and TERRA, NEVE and SABBIA for dirt, snow and sand. Neve is Italian for snow. Lamborghini put a snow mode in a Lamborghini. Chicago noticed.
That's why this card carries a Winter-ready: all-wheel drive tag pointing at the Urus in our rental fleet. If you own an exotic, keep it warm in the garage. Take ours out instead.
The one at Lamborghini Miami
This 2024 Urus S is listed at $251,697 as of our check on 21 October 2026. Darin's album doesn't include this model, so the photo on the card is a licensed Wikimedia Commons shot of the same model, not this exact car. The credit is right under the photo.
